I have been given the opportunity to contribute to the distinguished legacy of development and progress of Satyawati college. Since its establishment in 1972, the college has progressed both in terms of infrastructure and quality of students. In 2016, the college was awarded an A grade by the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC). Its competent and committed faculty contributes significantly to motivating students and enable them to excel in the field of academics and also develop the right vision, confidence, and sense of responsibility to be able to make the best use of their education and training and become noble and dedicated citizens.
The college aims at the holistic development of students by maintaining a balance between academics and extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Apart from teaching-learning programs, the students are encouraged to engage in multifarious activities ranging from seminars, conferences, debates, quizzes, sports, dramatics, art- culture, environment protection awareness drives performed through societies, clubs, and students union. Its Equal Opportunity Cell and SC-ST societies work for inclusive development by strengthening and enhancing the capability of students coming from diverse sections of the society. The Family Counselling Center is committed to women empowerment and sensitizing students on gender-related issues. The Placement Cell organizes activities for soft skill developments and placements by inviting companies for on-campus placements.
It is the hard work and perseverance of college administration and faculty members that ensure the students’ competitiveness in career opportunities and growth. Both NCC and NSS play a vital role in encouraging students to be more humane and sensitive to the critical issues of society. The college is determined to provide inclusive and eco-friendly development through optimum utilization of resources. The college places a premium on the progress of specially-abled students In addition, the college has developed a modern and well-equipped auditorium, conference room, sports fields, computer labs, environment lab, Department rooms, library, and various other facilities. For the convenience of students, the college has developed campus facilities like a bank, medical room, and photocopier corner. It will be my constant endeavor to maintain an environment of mutual respect and teamwork in college to achieve the objectives of progress and empowerment of students.
