The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), proposes that every accredited higher education institute should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This would help maintain quality up gradation and enhancement along with “conscious, consistent and catalytic” improvement in the overall growth and progress of the institute. IQAC aims to facilitate participation and involvement of every constituent units of the college and works with close coordination for internalization of quality enhancement initiatives. The vision and mission of IQAC includes redefining the “Quality Indication of Education”, keeping in view the contribution of the institution in National Development by taking up outreach programmes leading to social justice and equality. IQAC helps in revisiting the goals of education with the objective of fostering global competencies among students. It strongly suggests inculcating value system among students through curriculum implementation and interactive activities across all strata of society. While promoting the use of technology, it encourages infrastructure technology and usage of ICT in both teaching and administrative processes. IQAC encourages adopting pedagogical methodologies to develop scientific and research temperament among students and teachers. It strives to strengthen the alumni involvement so as to garner maximum participation of alumni in its growth and advancement. IQAC also encourages self-evaluation, accountability and innovation in higher education along with professional and skill based courses of interdisciplinary nature. Innovation based activities in major urban issues is one of the main concerns of IQAC. Establishing inter and intra institutional collaboration for enhancing academic rigor with institutions of repute is also a customary vision that IQAC promotes. To inculcate consciousness in staff and students towards eco-friendly practices and students is always encouraged along with sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions.
